The TR-808 Drum module.  This soundbank is an enhanced version of this drum module from a brand known manufacturer. I have re-created the stereo , the panning, and used several custom made tools I made with the Creamware's development kit. It comes in one flavor only, I haven't got the time to resample everything with reverb like I did with the TR-606.

The drums have been recorded on 2 velocity layers. The first low layer is without the 'accents', the second with 'accents'. This drum box use accents to add more groove, and when a drum is played with or without accents it does not sounds the same. Now you have both ones.

I've added some general samples used in most  drum kits to have a truly GM compatible result.

Long time ago, I wasn't rich enough to own a TR808. But a friend of mine named Pierre, was a professor at the Montpellier conservatory, and he had the chance to have one. He let it to me one week and I still remember this sound. It  was FAR away from the TR606 I had, and very much expensive as well.

In my opinion the TR909 is the best TR. The real unit can't be compared with many sound bank, because there are many creative possibilities and settings, that can't be re-created in a sound bank.

But I haven't used it in a techno way...and now, when you listen it loud in a club, it rocks like nothing else (or maybe just like another TR drum box). I keep my TR606 in a box, like a relic of these ancient times. Now it is much more easier to use it as a sound bank rather than using the real unit.

* Note : compression divides the original size by a factor of 2. We use Winrar 3. If you purchase a 100mb bank from our website, you'll have to download 50 mb.

Note : all our products are created with Gigastudio and converted to the following formats : Kontakt, Halion, Reaktor, Exs24, Soundfont. Drums are converted to the previous format plus Battery. Because of the technical limitations on some samplers some soundbanks may not work exactly the same as the original .GIG format.
