GIGFILES HYBRID Grand Piano

"This is a new experience. Taking the attack of the Pleyel and the release of the Steinway C to obtain a never existing brand new piano. The result is fantastic!"

Only computer can to this : using the best of two piano to create a new one. We did it! We took the attack of the Peyel P190 and the release of the Steinway, tricked the stereo, changed a little bit the tuning, and here it is. The first Hybrid piano between a Pleyel P190 and a Steinway C. The result is a huge large sound, with a lot more harmonics than a regular piano that fits extraordinary in the mix. Even played alone, it is a great pleasure to play your favorite pieces on a piano that will never exist. Thanks to the computer and the hi-technology!

Gigfiles HYBRID Grand Piano.
Size : 384 Mb. Compressed : 121 Mb. 
Stereo. 4 velocity levels. Sampled almost every notes full length. 1.4 GB  total, in 4 banks of 389 mb each uncompressed*. One of the best natural sampled piano with ambiance.

Gigfiles Hybrid Basic  : carefully mapped velocities adapted to any style. This piano has a small natural ambiance and an excellent stereo image.

Gigfiles Hybrid Smooth : great for ballad, this piano had more velocity range and can play very dark piece.

 

Author's Comments :

"I needed to cut the attack of the Steinway, but also use a compressor to avoid having some distortion at the the time the two pianos are playing together (0.5 s after the sound start). Some corrections have been made to the stereo, but no reverb or any artifact has been used at the re-sampling stage. Lot of work, but worth the result."

* Note : compression divides the original size by a factor of 2. We use Winrar 3. If you purchase a 100mb bank from our website, you'll have to download 50 mb.

Note : all our products are created with Gigastudio and converted to the following formats : Kontakt, Halion, Reaktor, Exs24, Soundfont. Drums are converted to the previous format plus Battery. Because of the technical limitations on some samplers some soundbanks may not work exactly the same as the original .GIG format.
